Our client is seeking an associate with at least three years of experience in capital markets and/or public company representation to join its corporate practice in Costa Mesa. The role is intended for an associate in the fourth- through sixth-year class and offers exposure to sophisticated capital-raising and securities matters.
The Work
- Work on capital-raising transactions for issuers, private equity investors, and investment banks, including debt and equity offerings across a range of industries.
- Contribute to IPOs and direct listings, helping clients address the securities and listing issues involved in accessing public markets.
- Support high-yield bond, derivatives, and other capital markets matters as part of a practice handling a broad range of securities products.
- Assist clients with alternative approaches to raising funds for strategic investments and acquisitions.
- Help navigate complex, overlapping regulations and securities issues, drawing on centralized support from experienced capital markets lawyers and former senior SEC officials.
- Work with a global practice serving clients across industries and jurisdictions, with the platform available to support clients after a capital raise.
What You Bring
- At least three years of experience in capital markets and/or public company representation.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in corporate capital markets matters and securities products.
- Ability to contribute to debt and equity capital-raising transactions, including offerings for issuers and other market participants.
- Knowledge of public-market transactions such as IPOs or direct listings is relevant to the work.
- Familiarity with securities and listing issues and the regulatory considerations associated with capital markets transactions.
- Experience involving high-yield bonds, derivatives, strategic investment funding, or acquisition-related capital raising is relevant.
