Position overview

Our client is seeking a capital markets associate with at least two years of experience to join its Bay Area corporate practice in San Francisco. The work has a particular focus on representing late-stage private companies in capital-raising and securities matters.

The Work

  • Contribute to capital-raising transactions involving debt and equity securities, working with issuer, investor, and investment-bank participants.
  • Support late-stage private company clients as they evaluate and pursue ways to access the public markets, including direct listing transactions.
  • Work on securities and listing questions that arise in complex capital markets matters, drawing on coordinated support from experienced capital markets lawyers and former SEC senior officials.
  • Assist clients in considering capital-raising alternatives to fund strategic investments and acquisitions.
  • Work with clients across sectors on capital-raising matters and related needs that may continue after a transaction is complete.

What You Bring

  • At least two years of capital markets experience.
  • Experience or a strong practice focus representing late-stage private companies.
  • Knowledge of capital-raising transactions involving securities products, including debt and equity matters.
  • Ability to contribute to matters involving public-market access, securities issues, and listing questions.
  • Experience working with or advising issuers, private equity investors, or investment banks is relevant to the practice.

Compensation & Benefits

An estimated base range for the relevant experience level is $235,000–$310,000; this estimate is not firm-stated compensation.
