Position overview

Our client is seeking an experienced attorney to join a complex competition practice handling significant civil litigation and investigations. Based in New York or Washington, D.C., with flexibility for exceptional candidates in San Francisco, this role offers substantial responsibility across plaintiff-side and defense-side matters involving companies in highly competitive industries.

The Work

  • Assume significant responsibility in civil antitrust litigation, contributing to the handling of complex matters involving market-leading companies.
  • Work on antitrust investigations, with responsibility spanning the development and execution of investigative matters.
  • Support merger-related antitrust matters and other investigations by antitrust agencies as needed.
  • Handle plaintiff-side and defense-side matters, gaining exposure to distinct litigation perspectives and strategies.
  • Work across technology, life sciences, medical, media, financial services, transportation, and consumer product industries.

What You Bring

  • Seven or more years of law firm or government agency experience.
  • Experience handling civil antitrust litigation and investigations.
  • Ability to take on significant responsibility in complex matters.
  • Superior academic credentials.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in technology or life sciences is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with non-antitrust government investigations is valued.
  • Clerkship or judicial internship experience is valued.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated salary range is $420,000–$435,000 based on year classification, with discretionary merit bonuses potentially available.
