Our client is considering exceptional candidates in New York City for an associate role handling complex merger investigations. The work spans high-profile deals involving market-leading companies and calls for attorneys ready to take ownership of demanding Second Request reviews.

The Work

  • Manage both substantive and process aspects of Second Request compliance in merger investigations.
  • Run Second Request reviews, organizing the work and leading teams of associates and contract attorneys.
  • Work on complex deals involving companies in competitive technology, life sciences, medical, energy, financial services, transportation, and consumer products sectors.
  • Contribute to investigations involving some of the largest and most complex merger matters.

What You Bring

  • Three to six years of relevant legal experience, with particular experience in mergers.
  • Experience with both substantive and process portions of Second Request compliance.
  • Ability to manage a Second Request review and lead associates and contract attorneys.
  • Superior academic credentials.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Technology or life sciences sector experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated salary range is $260,000–$390,000 based on year classification, with discretionary merit bonuses.
