Position overview

Our client is seeking an attorney with 3–6 years of experience to join its antitrust merger investigations practice, ideally in Washington, D.C. Exceptional candidates in New York or San Francisco may also be considered. The team works on complex, high-profile transactions across highly competitive industries.

The Work

  • Manage Second Request reviews, overseeing both the substantive analysis and the procedural requirements of compliance.
  • Lead teams of associates and contract attorneys through the demands of complex Second Request reviews.
  • Contribute to merger investigations involving transactions by market-leading companies in technology, life sciences, medical, energy, financial services, transportation, and consumer products.
  • Work on complex deals and high-profile merger investigations across a broad range of competitive sectors.
  • Help advance matters within a practice handling a robust flow of complex merger work.

What You Bring

  • At least 3 years of legal experience, with 3–6 years preferred.
  • Experience with mergers, particularly merger investigations.
  • Experience with both the substantive and process portions of Second Request compliance.
  • Ability to manage a Second Request review and lead teams of associates and contract attorneys.
  • Superior academic credentials and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Technology or life sciences sector experience is preferred, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated salary range is $260,000–$390,000, based on year classification, and discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
