Our client is seeking an associate with at least four years of experience to support complex merger reviews from initial filings through agency investigations. This Chicago opportunity offers substantial involvement in domestic and cross-border transactions and close coordination with clients, economists, and deal teams.
The Work
- Manage significant aspects of the antitrust review process for complex domestic and cross-border transactions, helping advance matters from filing through regulatory review.
- Prepare and coordinate Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) filings and related merger-control submissions.
- Support agency investigations, including Second Requests, by organizing and managing document productions and coordinating responses.
- Work directly with clients, economists, and deal teams to move merger reviews forward and address issues arising during the process.
- Contribute to merger investigations involving competition authorities, including matters that require coordination across jurisdictions.
What You Bring
- At least four years of experience in antitrust and competition law, with substantial merger-control experience.
- Experience with HSR filings, Second Requests, and merger investigations.
- Ability to manage significant portions of the review process for complex domestic and cross-border transactions.
- Strong regulatory filing and document-production skills, including the ability to coordinate workstreams across a matter.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, economists, and deal teams throughout agency review.
