Our client is seeking an associate with at least four years of experience to help businesses navigate merger reviews for complex domestic and cross-border transactions. The role offers meaningful ownership of key review work and close coordination with clients, economists, and deal teams within an integrated global competition practice.
The Work
- Manage significant aspects of antitrust review for complex domestic and cross-border transactions, helping coordinate the process from filing through agency review.
- Prepare and support Hart-Scott-Rodino filings and other regulatory submissions connected with merger clearance.
- Handle substantial components of Second Request responses, including document production work and coordination with clients and deal teams.
- Support merger investigations by working with clients, economists, and internal teams on agency engagement and the development of the review record.
- Contribute to matters involving U.S. agency review as well as international proceedings, including Phase II reviews before the European Commission and EU Member State authorities.
What You Bring
- At least four years of legal experience, with substantial experience in merger control.
- Experience handling Hart-Scott-Rodino filings, Second Requests, and merger investigations.
- Ability to manage significant workstreams in complex domestic and cross-border antitrust reviews.
- Strong regulatory filing and document production capabilities.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, economists, and transaction deal teams.
- Experience with international merger review, including European Commission or EU Member State proceedings, is relevant to the practice.
