Our client is seeking an associate with substantial merger review experience to help guide complex domestic and cross-border transactions through regulatory scrutiny. The work combines strategic deal support, agency-facing process management, and collaboration with clients, economists, and transaction teams.
The Work
- Manage significant aspects of antitrust review for complex domestic and cross-border transactions, coordinating the legal work with clients, economists, and deal teams.
- Prepare and support Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) filings and other regulatory submissions required for merger review.
- Help lead responses to Second Requests, including managing document productions and advancing the matter through agency review.
- Work on merger investigations, assessing review issues and supporting the transaction team through agency engagement.
- Coordinate review processes involving authorities in multiple jurisdictions, including matters that may require intensive scrutiny.
- Contribute to securing merger clearances across a practice that handles hundreds of clearances annually.
What You Bring
- At least four years of relevant legal experience, with substantial experience in merger control.
- Experience preparing or supporting HSR filings and managing merger review processes.
- Familiarity with Second Requests, agency investigations, and related document productions.
- Ability to manage significant components of complex antitrust reviews with appropriate ownership and attention to detail.
- Experience coordinating effectively with clients, economists, and deal teams.
- Experience with domestic and cross-border transactions and regulatory reviews.
